3 Ways To Pass Your Hair Drug Test

Before we start, take a deep breath and relax, we’ve come up with 3 strategies you can use in order to pass your drug test.

Shave That Hair Off

The first, and possibly easiest thing you can do is to shave your hair. Now this is a method that is not likely to work. However, if you’re at your wits end, you can give it a try.

In theory, it takes up to a week for marijuana to get into the hair follicles. This means that if you shave your hair, arms, legs and any other body part they could take samples from, you should have a solid 5 days minimum of drug free hair

So let’s say that you have a drug test in five days on Friday. Shaving your hair (including your body hair) on Monday should mean that you’ll have enough hair for them to collect some on Friday, and that it will be drug free. Further into the weekend though your hair in theory will start to show traces of drugs.

However, it will be pretty obvious what you’re doing. If you’re at your wits end, you can try this method.

Chance It

If you’re a light or occasional smoker of weed, there’s a fair chance your results will come back mixed. This is because the hair follicle drug tests aren’t designed to pick up occasional drug use or light drug use.

In fact, hair follicle testing is designed with the intention of discovering moderate and high drug users who are consistently using. If you only smoke marijuana casually, you might get away with having a hair follicle test done and passing it because it’s inconclusive.

However, there is always the chance that you’ll be caught with this method as there is no particular amount that is “passable”. If you need really need to pass, this is probably not worth chancing. If you only moderately need to pass-maybe give it a try.

You can always buy at home drug tests and see if they give you a passing score to help calm your nerves if you want to give this a try.

Detox Shampoo

Using a detox shampoo is the most reliable way to pass your hair drug test. However, many detox shampoos don’t actually work because they can’t break down the drug inside of the follicle. Since most lab tests are able to detect up to 90 days of drug use, the shampoo has to be reliable.

But there is some good news.

There are a few detox shampoos that work. Before making a purchase of any of the shampoos, just be sure to do your research. Aloe Rid is one brand that was known for working really well. However, their new version doesn’t work and is very expensive, so you’d need to find a supplier who sold the old version. You’ll also want to grab Zydot Ultra-Clean shampoo and Neutrogena T/Sal.

Apply the Neutrogena T/Sal followed by the Aloe Rid and then the Zydot for at least two washes prior to your drug test to attempt to detox your hair.

With legalization of marijuana there are new brands of detox shampoo coming out all the time, so just keep your eyes on the reviews as well. After all, even if a product is expensive, if it works and lands you a good job, it’s completely work it right?

Another thing to think about with detox shampoo, is that if you’re a light user of marijuana, but the test makes you nervous (as it should), a combination of a detox shampoo and light use might the perfect combination to pass.

Other Options

While detox shampoos (particularly Aloe Rid) are currently considered your best bet there are other ways of passing your drug test that you can try. For instance, some people have gotten away with using a wig or hair extensions. While we thing this is particularly risky. If you are down to try. Why not? It just might work.
